The program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Electric Vehicles) is designed with learning solutions that impart knowledge of advanced innovations in Electric Vehicles like New Battery Technology, Ultra-fast Charging, Vehicle to Grid (V2G), Wireless Charging , Hybrid electric vehicles, Battery Electric Vehicles, Plug-In Hybrids and Conversion of old vehicles in to battery vehicles in order to present a unified treatment of reduces local air pollution while improving transport energy security. Increasing number of companies these days are focusing on various disruptive EV technologies for reaching out to customers effectively.
At the end of the program, graduates will have conceptual understanding on the following components of Electric Vehicles: Compact Inverter Technology, High Voltage Power Circuit, Control Circuit, Motor Technology, Battery Technology and Electro Powertrain Simulation Technology.
Students will have an opportunity to work as iScholars at the Center for Emerging Energy Technologies (CEET) which helps to expand their intellectual horizons and make them industry-ready. A student can also explore other interdisciplinary research centers@SRU
The program focuses on the innovations in electric vehicles like Electric vehicle powertrain design and fabrication, Battery management systems, EV charging infrastructure strategy and EV Design
The curriculum prepares students to take on complex challenges in the real world industry like challenges in design and development of automobile technology and battery management etc.
This is a specialized program designed to help students build a robust foundation and acquire cutting-edge skills in the electric vehicles through a curriculum that combines theory and practice in equal measures.
