B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) – Robotics and Automation

The Robotics and Automation specialization within Mechanical Engineering at SR University focuses on the design, development, and operation of intelligent mechanical systems and automated industrial processes. Students learn core concepts of robotics, kinematics, dynamics, sensors, actuators, control systems, industrial automation, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Hands-on learning through laboratory experiments, practical projects, and industry-oriented training develops skills in robotic mechanisms, automated manufacturing, and computer-integrated production systems. The curriculum integrates mechanical design, mechatronics, and emerging automation technologies to address modern industrial challenges. Graduates are prepared for careers in industrial robotics, smart manufacturing, automotive automation, process industries, system integration, and research and development.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in 10+2 in the prescribed subjects taken together.

Students who have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) are eligible for all B.Tech. programmes.

Candidates have to be successful in JEE-Main/ State Level Engineering Entrance Exams across India including EAPCET(EAMCET)/ Merit in Sports/ Cultural Activities.
