Dr. Anirban Goutam Mukherjee is an accomplished researcher and academician serving as Assistant Professor and Associate Dean of Research, Grants and Consultancy at the Department of Biotechnology, School of Sciences and Humanities, SR University, Warangal, Telangana, India. He has been recognized among the World’s Top 2% Scientists in the Stanford University–Elsevier ranking for 2025 and 2026 and indexed in the Top 1000 Scholar 2026 list by Scholarly Index. He earned his Ph.D. from the School of Biosciences and Technology, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore. His research expertise encompasses toxicology, cancer biology, reproductive health, environmental toxicology, computational biology, network pharmacology, natural-product-based therapeutics, and metabolomics. His doctoral research investigated the molecular mechanisms linking environmental toxicants, particularly heavy metals and metalloids, with male reproductive dysfunction, infertility, and prostate cancer. With 75+ publications in reputed international SCI/SCIE- and Scopus-indexed journals, Dr. Mukherjee integrates experimental and computational approaches to investigate disease mechanisms, discover potential biomarkers, and identify therapeutic targets. His distinctions include the Raman Research Award, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Award, and Chancellor’s Gold Medal at VIT, where he graduated as the M.Sc. University Topper and Gold Medalist. He was selected for the prestigious Sakura Science Exchange Program at the University of Miyazaki, Japan, and the SERB-sponsored Karyashala High-End Workshop. Dr. Mukherjee serves as Academic Editor for PLOS ONE and Editorial Board Member of Discover Oncology.
