Dr. Sourav Basak is a researcher and educator in the field of electrical engineering. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. His research focuses on dynamic economic emission dispatch, microgrid energy management, demand-side management, renewable energy integration, and metaheuristic optimization. His work has been published in reputed international journals, including ISA Transactions, Environment, Development and Sustainability, and Electric Power Systems Research, among others.

His current research extends to electric vehicle integration, including coordinated charging, vehicle-to-grid (V2G) scheduling, dynamic electricity pricing, and the planning of charging and battery-swapping infrastructure.
