I am Dr. Gyanendra Kumar Maurya, currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SR University, Warangal, Telangana, India, where I joined on 4 August 2025. I earned my Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Physics from IIIT Allahabad, specializing in topological-insulator-based heterojunctions for advanced optoelectronic applications. Previously, I served as an Assistant Professor at GLA University, Mathura.
My expertise encompasses advanced functional materials, thin-film fabrication, semiconductor device engineering, nanotechnology, and electrical and optoelectronic characterization. I have extensive experimental experience in RF/DC sputtering, chemical vapor deposition, nanodevice fabrication, Hall measurements, low-temperature charge transport, and semiconductor heterojunction characterization. My technical proficiency also includes COMSOL Multiphysics, MATLAB, and energy-band modeling.
My research interests focus on topological insulators, two-dimensional materials, quantum materials, spintronics, semiconductor heterostructures, and next-generation optoelectronic devices. My work primarily investigates the electronic, optical, and transport properties of novel materials for broadband photodetectors, self-powered photosensors, and energy-efficient semiconductor devices. I have published research articles in reputed SCI-indexed international journals, including Applied Surface Science, Scientific Reports, and IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices. My research aims to bridge fundamental materials physics with practical applications in advanced sensing, nanoelectronics, and emerging quantum technologies.
