Dr. Biswajit Mahanty is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Associate Dean (Online Learning) at SR University, Warangal, Telangana, India. He has over 18 years of teaching experience and three years of postdoctoral research experience at Chonnam National University, Republic of Korea. He holds a Ph.D. from Jadavpur University.
His expertise spans functional nanomaterials, flexible electronics, energy harvesting, and electrochemical energy storage. His research focuses on piezoelectric and triboelectric nanogenerators, self-powered wearable sensors, polymer nanocomposites, electrospun nanofibers, metal–organic frameworks, two-dimensional materials, supercapacitors and AI-enabled healthcare systems. His work aims to develop sustainable energy solutions and sensing technologies for AI-IoT-enabled remote healthcare monitoring.
His teaching interests include signals and systems, satellite communication, Linear Integrated Circuits, Communication Engineering, Analog Electronics Circuit, IOT and emerging electronic technologies. He emphasizes conceptual clarity, practical problem-solving, and research-oriented learning. Alongside teaching and doctoral supervision, he contributes to curriculum development, online education, and student skill development. Through interdisciplinary research and academic collaboration, he seeks to connect advances in materials science with practical electronic devices and applications.
