I am a PhD graduate from BITS Pilani in the area of sustainable engineered cementitious composites for pavement application. I also have post-doc experience from the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore under Prof. En-Hua Yang.
My broad research goal is to make pavements sustainable. I try to attain this goal by investigating alternative materials, innovative construction techniques and evaluating the usefulness of different alternatives via studying their mechanical properties, microstructural properties, durability properties, conducting comparative life cycle assessments (LCA) and cost-benefit analyses. Specifically, I have worked on using engineered cementitious composites (also called "bendable concrete") for pavement application. I am also interested in other sub-areas of Transportation Engineering such as Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning and would be happy to collaborate in any of these areas.
