I am Dr. Nagalapuram Muni Pradeep, an academician and researcher specializing in Geotechnical Engineering, with a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi (2024), and an M.Tech in Geotechnical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, where I received a Silver Medal.
My doctoral research focused on the static and cyclic behaviour of granular pile foundations incorporating recycled tire chips and aggregates for improving soft soil. My research interests include ground improvement techniques, foundation engineering, soil–structure interaction, sustainable geotechnical materials, and numerical modelling using PLAXIS 2D and 3D.
I have experience as an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean (Academics), with responsibilities in teaching, research, laboratory management, curriculum implementation, and academic administration. My teaching expertise includes Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, Ground Improvement Techniques, Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory, and Disaster Management.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamental understanding, practical applications, problem-solving, laboratory demonstrations, and real-world engineering case studies. I integrate numerical simulations and activity-based learning to develop students' analytical thinking and engineering judgment.
I am committed to delivering quality engineering education, conducting impactful research, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic and research excellence of the institution.
