Dr. Rathod Lalsingh is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Entomology at the School of Agriculture, SR University, Warangal, Telangana. He holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Entomology from Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola, and has expertise in insect ecology, integrated pest management (IPM), insect–plant interactions, stored-grain entomology, biological control, and insect toxicology.
His research focuses on the bio-ecology and management of agricultural insect pests, particularly pink bollworm (*Pectinophora gossypiella*), pulse beetles, and other economically important pests. He is interested in developing sustainable, eco-friendly pest management strategies using botanical products, biological control agents, and innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence applications in entomology. His research also explores insect monitoring, beneficial insects, apiculture, and insect-based approaches to sustainable agriculture.
His teaching interests include fundamentals of entomology, insect taxonomy and morphology, insect ecology, crop and stored-grain pest management, biological pest control, and beneficial insect management. He emphasizes practical learning, field-based training, and the application of scientific knowledge to real-world agricultural challenges. Through his teaching, research, and student mentoring, he aims to contribute to sustainable crop protection, agricultural innovation, and the development of skilled agricultural professionals.
