I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at SR University, Warangal, where I joined in December 2025. Alongside teaching and research, I serve as Associate Dean of Research, Grants & Consultancy and as Assistant Dean of the School of Computer Science & AI.
My research focuses on designing heterogeneous catalysts for energy and chemical conversion. My current work is on acid-stable oxygen-evolution catalysts for PEM water electrolysis, with an emphasis on catalyst durability under realistic operating conditions. I supervise four Ph.D. scholars and one postdoctoral fellow. Their projects range from metal–organic framework catalysts for water splitting to process development and impurity control in pharmaceutical synthesis.
As Associate Dean, I manage the university’s research-grants pipeline. I built a database of national funding agencies, including DRDO research boards, ISRO, DAE-BRNS, CSIR and iDEX, and I match faculty with suitable schemes. I also review proposals before submission and mentor faculty on research planning.
Before SRU, I was an Assistant Professor at KL University and a postdoctoral researcher at UC Irvine and Fayetteville State University in the USA, after completing my Ph.D. at CSIR-CECRI. I have published 45 SCIE papers, with more than 6,800 citations and an h-index of 29.
