Dr. Annu is an Associate Professor at SR University, with over five years of teaching and research experience in India and South Korea. She completed her Ph.D. from Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi. Her professional research journey includes serving as a Project Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 2020, followed by academic and research positions at various institutions in India and Yeungnam University, Republic of Korea, where she served as an Assistant Professor.
Her research expertise spans polymer science, nanotechnology, functional nanocomposites, biopolymers, hydrogels, and electrochemical materials, with applications in biomedical engineering, targeted drug delivery, cancer therapeutics, environmental remediation, and sustainable energy storage. Her doctoral research focused on nanoparticle synthesis, polymer-based nanocomposites, and their biomedical applications. Subsequently, her research in South Korea expanded towards sustainable polymer nanocomposites, lithium-metal batteries, polymer electrolytes, and supercapacitors.
Her current research interests include multifunctional biopolymer-based materials for targeted drug delivery, 3D tissue-engineering hydrogels, electrochemical cancer diagnostic sensors, self-powered bioelectronics, and next-generation energy storage systems.
She has published extensively in reputed international journals and has contributed to seven reference books published by leading international publishers, including Elsevier, Wiley, and Taylor & Francis. In recognition of her research contributions, she has been listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists (Stanford University, 2025 and 2026) in the field of Chemistry, under the Polymers subcategory. Her research vision is to develop innovative and sustainable functional materials for advanced healthcare, energy, and environmental applications.
