I am Dr. Murugavelu Marimuthu, a chemist with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Annamalai University and extensive research experience in nanomaterials, chemical sensing, and functional material development. I have worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Jiangsu University and Guangdong University of Technology, China, and currently serve as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at SR University.
My expertise includes the synthesis and characterization of metallic nanoparticles, bimetallic nanoclusters, lanthanide-based upconversion nanoparticles, and metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). My research focuses on developing fluorescence-based sensors for detecting environmental contaminants, pesticides, antibiotics, and toxic metal ions, with additional interests in nanocomposite synthesis, catalysis, and electrochemical sensing. I have contributed to 29 publications and participated in government-funded research projects in China.
My teaching experience includes undergraduate chemistry education, with an emphasis on fundamental chemical principles, nanochemistry, materials synthesis, and analytical applications.
