I’m Dr. Srinivasan Arthanari, an Associate Professor at SR University, Warangal, where I joined in July 2026. I hold an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Chemistry, with my doctorate from Anna University, Chennai, and I bring more than a decade of research experience across leading institutions in South Korea and China, including Seoul National University, Chungnam National University, Gyeongsang National University, Korea, and Beihang University, China.
My expertise lies in laser-based materials processing, micro/nano fabrication, electrochemistry, and corrosion science. My research focuses on fabricating electrocatalysts for energy conversion and environmental applications, developing high-performance electrodes for energy storage, and using ultrafast-laser processing to create micro- and nanoscale functional materials. I also work extensively on the electrochemical corrosion behavior and surface engineering of metallic materials, particularly magnesium alloys for biomedical use, as well as laser-induced porous electrodes for biomolecule and glucose sensing. My work has resulted in more than 50 publications, over 1,400 citations (h-index 22), three book chapters, and several patents. I have also served as Principal Investigator on a National Research Foundation of Korea grant and as guest editor for special journal issues.
I'm very keen to teach the Computational Chemistry and the AI-assisted problem-solving lab courses for undergraduate engineering students. I also want to be involved in the teaching of laser processing, electrochemistry, corrosion science, materials chemistry, nanomaterials, and energy materials. My aim is to link fundamentals to real-world applications (sensors, fuel cells, biomedical implants, etc.) and guide students toward a research-based approach to problem-solving and innovation.
