Dr. Rajamouli Boddula is a Chemistry faculty member at SR University, Warangal, with expertise in organic synthesis, functional organic materials, lanthanide chemistry, graphene-based nanomaterials, and optoelectronic materials. His research focuses on the design, synthesis, and molecular engineering of functional organic molecules, lanthanide coordination complexes, chemical sensors, and organic-inorganic hybrid materials, particularly graphene oxide and reduced graphene oxide-based nanohybrids.
His research interests encompass surface functionalization, interfacial chemistry, photophysical properties, and the development of advanced materials for optoelectronic and related technological applications. He also employs computational approaches, including density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT), to investigate molecular structures, electronic properties, and structure–property relationships. His technical expertise includes material synthesis, chemical functionalization, spectroscopic characterization, and instrumental analysis.
With 12 years of combined teaching, research and industrial experience, Dr. Boddula is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, laboratory training, student mentoring, and academic research. His research contributions include peer-reviewed scientific publications, book chapters, patents, and research projects supported by public funding agencies. He is also actively engaged in supervising and mentoring PhD scholars and postdoctoral researchers, fostering collaborative and interdisciplinary research. His teaching interests include organic and inorganic chemistry, spectroscopy, computational chemistry, and materials chemistry. He is particularly passionate about research-oriented teaching and developing discovery-based laboratory experiences that promote critical thinking, scientific curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
