An Agronomy professional with expertise in sustainable crop production, conservation agriculture, organic farming, precision agriculture, phytoremediation, crop residue management, and agronomic biofortification. My teaching interests focus on integrating fundamental agronomic principles with emerging agricultural technologies through engaging lectures, field demonstrations, laboratory experiments, and experiential learning. I have teaching experience in undergraduate courses, including Fundamentals of Agronomy and Agricultural Heritage, Introduction to Forestry, Crop Production Technology (Kharif and Rabi Crops), Irrigation Water Management, and Fundamentals of Crop Physiology. At the postgraduate level, my teaching interests and experience include Agronomy of Major Cereals and Pulses, Modern Crop Production, and Principles and Practices of Organic Farming.
My research interests encompass sustainable crop production systems, micronutrient biofortification, phytoremediation of contaminated water bodies using aquatic macrophytes, soil and water resource management, crop residue utilization, and sustainable nutrient management. My postgraduate research focused on the agronomic biofortification of pearl millet cultivars with iron under rainfed conditions, involving field experimentation, soil and plant nutrient analysis, and statistical interpretation of experimental data.
In addition to teaching and research, I contribute to academic administration and institutional quality enhancement through responsibilities as Assistant Dean (Academics), Timetable Coordinator, and member of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). I am also involved in institutional accreditation activities, including internal coordination and documentation for accreditation requirements of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). My academic approach emphasizes curriculum development, research-oriented learning, student mentoring, and experiential education, including the supervision of Experiential Learning Programme (ELP) units in Sweet Corn Production Technology and Vermicompost Production. I strive to integrate current research developments and sustainable agricultural practices into higher education while contributing to academic excellence and institutional development.
