Dr. Manoj Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at SR University, Telangana, India. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), with research focused on approximation theory and the role of special functions in the development of positive linear operators. His research interests include approximation theory, operator theory, convergence analysis, fractional calculus, functional analysis, and the application of special functions in mathematical modelling.
His research explores the construction and approximation properties of various classes of linear positive operators involving Hermite, Tricomi, Mittag-Leffler, Bessel-Wright, and other special functions. He has authored research publications in approximation theory and related interdisciplinary areas, with particular emphasis on convergence behaviour, error estimates, moduli of continuity, and weighted approximation. He is also interested in emerging directions involving neural network-based approximation operators, integral equations, and computational approaches to mathematical problems.
Dr. Kumar has experience using MATLAB and Wolfram Mathematica for symbolic computations, numerical investigations, and graphical analysis. His teaching interests include calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, discrete mathematics, functional analysis, and mathematical methods for engineering applications. He is committed to fostering conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and research-oriented learning among students. His broader academic goal is to develop mathematically rigorous and computationally effective approximation techniques that contribute to both theoretical mathematics and interdisciplinary applications.
