I am Dr. Debashis Mohanty, an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Mathematics at SR University, Warangal, India. I hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics, specializing in Fluid Dynamics, with research focused on heat and mass transfer in nanofluid, hybrid nanofluid, and ternary hybrid nanofluid flows. My research interests include interfacial nanolayer effects, Darcy–Forchheimer flow, porous media, Marangoni convection, entropy generation, and mathematical modelling of transport phenomena.
My research integrates analytical and numerical methods, including MATLAB-based computational techniques, finite element methods, and statistical analysis, to investigate complex fluid flow and thermal systems. I have published research articles in international peer-reviewed journals, contributed to academic book chapters, and developed research projects involving artificial neural networks and optimization techniques. I am also recognized in the 2026 Stanford–Elsevier World's Top 2% Scientists list.
In teaching, I am passionate about making mathematics accessible through innovative, computational, and application-oriented approaches. My teaching interests include differential equations, numerical analysis, fluid dynamics, probability and statistics, and scientific computing using Python and MATLAB. I also contribute to academic administration, examination management, research supervision, and curriculum development.
