I am Dr. Nirakara Pradhan, an Assistant Professor of Mathematics and Assistant Dean of Research at SR University, Warangal. I earned my Ph.D. in Mathematics from KIIT Deemed to be University in 2023. My expertise lies in applied mathematics, computational mechanics, mathematical modeling, and numerical methods.
My research primarily focuses on wave propagation in complex materials, including anisotropic, functionally graded, viscoelastic, and layered media. I investigate SH, Rayleigh-type, and torsional waves, with applications in geophysics, nondestructive testing, and smart materials. My interests also extend to fluid flow, heat transfer, and the integration of machine learning and Physics-Informed Neural Networks into mathematical modeling.
My teaching interests include engineering mathematics, differential equations, multivariable calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics, and numerical analysis. I use MATLAB, Mathematica, and Python to connect mathematical concepts with computational approaches and practical applications. Alongside teaching, I supervise doctoral scholars and have guided postgraduate research projects. I aim to create an engaging learning environment that encourages conceptual understanding, independent thinking, and research curiosity.
