Dr. Shitendu Some is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SR University, Warangal, where he also serves as Assistant Dean – Research. He received his Ph.D. and M.E. in Machine Design from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur. Before joining SR University, he spent five years as a faculty member at NIT Sikkim, and he has more than six years of teaching experience in total. His research is in tribology and bearing mechanics. He also works on vibration analysis, bearing health monitoring, and machine-learning applications in mechanical engineering, robotics and biomedical engineering. He has published 12 peer-reviewed journal articles in top-tier journals, along with 9 conference papers, a book chapter, and 2 patents.. His teaching interests include Machine Design, Kinematics of Machinery, Theory of Vibration, Robotics, and Machine Learning in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Life Member of the Tribology Society of India and Association for Machines and Mechanisms.
