Dr. R. Prashanth Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SR University, Warangal, with a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and 11 years extensive teaching experience in higher education. He has five Scopus-indexed research papers and focuses on emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), the Internet of Things (IoT), Deep Learning, and AI-driven intelligent systems.

His research interests include IoT-based Quality of Service (QoS) optimization, AI-enabled edge computing, smart agriculture, disease detection, medical image processing, Explainable AI (XAI), and data-driven predictive analytics. He has contributed to multiple patent-related innovations in agricultural technology, healthcare, and intelligent computing systems. His academic contributions also include a book on Deep Learning and a book chapter on Blockchain technology.

His teaching interests encompass Python Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Database Management Systems, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Data Structures, Computer Networks, and Web Technologies.
