An MoU between the TVS industry and SR University formalizes collaboration and partnership in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. It outlines the Electric Vehicle domain in which they will work together regarding research, technology transfer, workforce development and many other initiatives. The MoU will facilitate internships and placement opportunities for students in the industry, providing them with real-world experience and potential employment opportunities upon graduation.
The department of EEE atSR University joined forces with TVS TS Chennai for a transformative 5-day training, fueling minds with industry knowledge on Electric Vehicle and Battery - Design and Control. Students are now geared up with essential skills for the evolving tech landscape.

The Department of EEE at SR University organized an industrial visit to the KTPP Chelpur (Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant). This industrial visit was a stepping stone for our students, bridging the gap between academia and the real world. The Department of EEE at SR University, in association with the IEEE PES Hyderabad Section, organized an industrial visit to the Heavy Water Plant (Manuguru), Dept. of Atomic Energy. It was an incredibly insightful and informative experience for the students. They are enriched with the practical understanding of four plants on a single premises, i.e., 90MW thermal plant, 12 MW solar plant, D2O Plant and India's only O-18-enriched water plant.

The Department of Electrical Engineering started IEEE PES Society Chapter at SR University by chapter advisor Dr M.M. Irfan. PES provides researchers, engineers, and practitioners with a platform to collaborate, exchange ideas, and contribute to developing sustainable energy systems, power generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization technologies. Through conferences, publications, and networking opportunities, IEEE PES plays a significant role in shaping the future of the power and energy industries.
The department of EEE successfully inaugurated ElectrAIfy Club in the department level. The main aim of this club is to bring awareness among all the students in the electrical department and gain knowledge on artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning.
The EEE department celebrated Ayudha Pooja on 20 October 2023, marking the spirit of the Dasara festival. This special occasion symbolizes our reverence for tools and instruments, signifying their role in our lives.
